Crab sticks in batter: photo recipe

Need the following Ingredients:

  • 600 gr crab. sticks;

For batter:

  • 3 eggs,
  • beer glass,
  • 2 tbsp. mayonnaise spoons,
  • a pinch of soda
  • 1.5 cups flour.

Break the eggs, shake them. Add two tablespoons of mayonnaise. Pour in a glass of beer, add a pinch of soda. Mix well. Pour in the flour. Whisk until no lumps remain. The consistency of the batter should be watery, see photo below. Approximately the dough should turn out like for pancakes.


How to cook crab sticks in batter

For this amount of dough, it took me 600 grams of sticks. (Crab sticks are best bought by weight.)


Further, everything is very simple. Pour vegetable oil into a frying pan, heat up. Dip each stick in batter and send to the pan. Pour the dough remaining in the spoon on top of the stick. When the dough has risen and becomes porous, turn over. Fry on each side for a couple of minutes.


What I liked the most is that the finished sticks are not greasy at all. As it happens, for example, with pies, when the oil just drips from them. Yes, and the same story comes out. I don't know why this batter repels oil, perhaps because of the beer or mayonnaise it contains, but I really like it. Plus the dough is very airy and porous. In general, try to cook, you will not regret it, that's for sure. Serve while hot. By the way, in this batter it is still very good to fry sausages and fish. Pleasant)
