Beef ribs in the oven with potatoes

Beef ribs in the oven with potatoes is a very appetizing and satisfying dish. It will definitely be appreciated by male representatives, as well as by all lovers of a hearty meal. The ingredients are prepared simultaneously in one container. Therefore, all we need is to send the form to the oven, and then you can go about your business while waiting for the dish to be ready.

When simmering in the oven, the meat is thoroughly saturated with the aromas of spices, it turns out soft and juicy, one might say, “melting in your mouth.” And the potato wedges that complement the beef ribs eliminate the need to prepare a separate side dish.

Ingredients:

  • beef ribs - 600-700 g;
  • potatoes - 1 kg;
  • carrots - 1 pc.;
  • onion - 1 pc.;
  • vegetable oil - 2-3 tbsp. spoons;
  • garlic - 2-3 cloves;
  • turmeric - ½ teaspoon;
  • ground paprika (sweet) - ½ teaspoon;
  • salt, pepper mixture - to taste.

Beef ribs in the oven - a simple recipe with potatoes

  1. We thoroughly wash the ribs, dry them and cut them into pieces (so that there is meat left on each bone). Generously rub with salt, a mixture of peppers and, if desired, your favorite aromatic spices. Place in a large bowl and leave at room temperature for 15-20 minutes.
  2. In the meantime, we are working on potatoes. After washing and peeling, cut the tubers into approximately equal slices. Throw in salt, turmeric and sweet paprika.
  3. Mix the potato slices thoroughly so that each piece is saturated with spices.
  4. Grease the bottom of a heat-resistant container with vegetable oil. Place beef ribs in one layer. Top the meat with pre-peeled and chopped onions, as well as carrots cut into arbitrary pieces.
  5. Next, spread the potatoes soaked in spices in an even layer.
  6. For flavor, add finely chopped garlic cloves. As a finishing touch, add 1.5-2 cups of boiling water to the ingredients of the dish and, covering it with a lid or a sheet of foil, place the container in the preheated oven.
  7. Simmer the beef ribs in the oven with potatoes at 180 degrees for an hour and a half (cooking time depends on the size of the meat pieces). As soon as the meat becomes soft, take out the container and, if desired, sprinkle the finished dish with herbs.
