One of my favorite cakes is the Prague cake. There are two options for preparing this sweet treat, or rather two types of cream: custard and condensed milk cream. I prefer the second type of cream, because with it, the cake turns out tastier. But this is all for an amateur. Just custard I don't really like it at all.
It was today that I decided to experiment a little and bake the Prague Cake in a slow cooker. Baked. And what do you think? The cake turned out just delicious! So light and due to the cream - sweet. Tasty, and more! The family appreciated the cake, having eaten it in one day.
Recall that last time we cooked in the oven.

Just as easy to bake

I am calm about chocolate cakes, but my husband’s favorite desserts are ranked first. Therefore, on February 23, on Defender of the Fatherland Day, all household members had to use my next attempt ...

This time, a variation of the "Prague" cake was prepared in a slow cooker! IN home cooking it is easier for many to cope not with cooking, but with a simple combination and mixing of ingredients. I mean very, very delicious cream from condensed milk, butter and chocolate. As a sprinkle on the sides of the cake, a simple purchased shortbread chocolate cookie came in handy.

To prepare the Prague cake in a slow cooker, prepare the ingredients according to the list for the recipe. The list is long step by step photos a huge amount ... The cake really turned out so delicious that I am happy to share this recipe!

For the test, separate the eggs into whites and yolks.

Pound and beat the yolks with half the sugar until they increase in volume and whiten the mass.

Beat the whites first with a pinch of salt, and then add the remaining sugar in portions, without ceasing to beat. The mass should increase significantly in volume and thicken.

Combine and mix the beaten yolks with the sifted flour and cocoa.

Then carefully introduce the resulting mass into the proteins and mix very gently so that the proteins do not settle. Don't whip! At the end, add the melted and cooled to room temperature butter into the dough along the edge of the bowl and gently fold it in.

Transfer the dough to the bowl of the multicooker or into a mold suitable for the size of the bottom of the bowl (silicone or foil). You can also line the bottom and sides of the bowl with baking paper.

Set the "baking 1 hour" mode and do not open the multicooker during the baking process. After the beep, open the lid, let the biscuit cool slightly and then remove it.

It is very desirable to let the biscuit rest for several hours, for example overnight.

For impregnation, boil the syrup from water and sugar, i.e. bring to a boil, cook for a couple of minutes, remove from heat and pour in cognac or rum.

For the cream, you must first melt the chocolate, then combine it with room temperature butter and beat.

Then in chocolate butter add condensed milk, also at room temperature, and beat everything together.

Chocolate cream for homemade cake Prague is ready.

To sprinkle the cake, crush the chocolate chip cookies.

For chocolate icing you need to heat the butter together with chocolate in a water bath or in a microwave (cyclically: for 30 seconds a couple of times at MAX or for 1.5-2 minutes at medium power), and then mix until smooth.

To cut the biscuit into three blanks, you will need a sharp knife and a strong thread. First, mark the cakes of equal height with a knife. Then cut in a circle, deepening the knife by 1.5-2 cm. Place the thread first in the upper slot obtained, cross the ends and pull them. The thread will cut through the biscuit evenly.

Repeat these steps for the next piece.

Assemble the base of the cake.

Dip each cake in a third of the sweet syrup, for example, poured into a dish.

Connect the cakes, smearing with cream. More precisely, add cream in an amount of a little less than half between the first and second and second and third cakes.

Cover the top and sides of the cake with jam.

Then coat the sides with the rest of the cream.

Cookie crumbs are easily molded onto the cream.

Refrigerate the cake before applying the chocolate icing. The photo shows two wooden toothpicks, with the help of which I will make an inscription with the name of the cake, so that it is immediately clear what I was trying to bake))

It's such a good idea to hold two toothpicks and scratch the word "Prague" on the frozen glaze. It would be quite beautiful if my crooked hands did not tremble...
