You can serve it with any sauce; I prefer a sauce made from mayonnaise, herbs and garlic. I make homemade mayonnaise, so there is nothing harmful in the dish, only benefit. I accidentally saw this recipe for cauliflower baked whole in the oven on TV. This dish is very popular in Israel. Cooking steps

Prepare your food.

Rinse the head of cauliflower under running water. Do not remove the leaves; they, like cabbage, are edible. I only removed the damaged leaves.

Place the cabbage in a colander or on a waffle towel, stalk side up. Thus, leave the cabbage for 15-20 minutes to drain the liquid.

Peel the garlic, chop it with a knife (or grate it on a fine grater, or pass it through a press). Mix vegetable oil in a plate, add salt, chopped garlic, ground black pepper and lemon juice to taste, mix thoroughly.
Line a baking pan with parchment. Place the cauliflower in the pan, stem side down.

  • Bake: put the cabbage in the oven and bake 15-30 minutes at a temperature 200° C. The baking time will depend on your oven and the size of the head of cabbage; start checking the readiness after 15 minutes from the start of baking.
