There are a great many recipes for paella - with seafood, vegetables, meat.
We will prepare paella with chicken and vegetables in a slow cooker - this dish is perfect for a family dinner.

- chicken fillet - 2 pcs. (about 500 g);
- mixture of frozen vegetables - 400 g;
- rice - 300 g;
- garlic -2-3 cloves;
- saffron - 0.5 teaspoons,
- black pepper, salt - to taste;
- vegetable oil.

Recipe with photos step by step:

So let's get started, peel a couple of cloves of garlic and chop finely.

Pour a little vegetable oil into the multicooker bowl (ideally, olive oil), turn on the “Frying” program and simmer the chopped garlic for 2-3 minutes.

Wash the chicken fillet (breast) thoroughly and remove the veins and subcutaneous fat, cut into long pieces, 1.5 cm thick and add to the multicooker bowl.

Rinse the rice under running water. Please note that not any rice is suitable for paella - it is better to stick to round-grained varieties; it is this kind of rice that creates a soft, creamy consistency to the dish, while remaining hard inside.

So, fry the meat.

Now we add vegetables - in our case it is a mixture of frozen vegetables (half a package of “Lecho” and the same amount of “Mexican mixture”). In the summer and autumn seasons, you can take fresh vegetables; the obligatory components here will be tomatoes and carrots, and the rest is a matter of your taste.

Mix everything, turn on the “Stew” program and simmer the meat and vegetables for another 5-7 minutes until soft.

Pour a glass of washed rice into the bowl.

Mix everything well again, so that every grain of rice is “dipped” into the oil.

Now add half a teaspoon of saffron - this will give our dish a rich color.

Salt and add the rest of the spices.

Fill everything with boiling water so that it covers the rice by two fingers.

Close the multicooker lid, turn on the “Rice” program and leave for 20-25 minutes.

That's all, the chicken paella is ready, it's time to call the family to the table. We also recommend using the cooking recipe and adding another wonderful recipe to your cookbook. Bon appetit!

Paella with seafood, cooked in a slow cooker, is closest to the classic Spanish recipe, but the cooking method is much simpler. Ingredients for paella can be easily found, it will take very little time to prepare the recipe, and the result will please the whole family.

Frozen seafood cocktail, steamed rice, vegetables and spices are sold in any store. If desired, you can add green peas, or even a ready-made mixture of frozen semi-finished vegetables - rely on your taste. This is the main distinguishing feature of paella - it can be prepared from almost anything, the main thing is that there is rice.

1. First, let's prepare the rice; to do this, soak it in cool water for 30 minutes. When rice is deeply soaked in water, it is better to cook in a slow cooker, turning out tasty, crumbly and well-cooked.

3. Set the multicooker to “baking” mode, pour vegetable oil into the pan and pour in the chopped vegetables. We start frying in a multicooker with the lid open, stirring occasionally until a beautiful golden crust appears.

4. At the same time, boil water in a small saucepan. Pour the contents of the package with the frozen sea cocktail into boiling water (we calculate the water as follows: for a standard pack there is about a liter of water). After about 5 minutes, the seafood is defrosted and softened. We take them out and drain the excess water.

5. Combine all the prepared ingredients in a slow cooker - fried vegetables, soaked rice and seafood. In a glass of warm water, dissolve a tablespoon of tomato paste, half a teaspoon of salt and add spices. Mix everything and pour into the slow cooker. If necessary, add warm water to cover the rice by half a centimeter. After that, we close the multicooker with a lid, set the “buckwheat” mode and that’s it, we wait for our clever girl to cook everything herself.

Traditionally, this dish is served in a wide frying pan, which perfectly emphasizes the presence of seafood and also best displays the dish on the table. Of course, with the advent of the multicooker, this tradition has undergone some changes, but still this method of serving is the most elegant and correct.

Seafood paella should be served with white wine, which will perfectly highlight the taste and tenderness of the food.

A recipe for making paella is present in almost every cookbook intended for a slow cooker. However, many housewives dare to change the recipe to give paella a new note of taste.

Paella will turn out very tasty if you put the right spices in it. The dish must contain:

  • saffron
  • garlic
  • black pepper
  • turmeric
  • seasoning for seafood and rice

Benefits of the dish

This appetizer has many advantages: firstly, it turns out very tasty, so you can safely serve it as the main course at a gala dinner. Secondly, seafood is a great way to diversify your everyday and holiday menus. Paella is also healthy: in addition to the benefits of seafood, it also contains vegetables necessary for the body. And thirdly, paella cooked in a slow cooker can remain hot until you turn off the device. And this is a significant plus of preparing this appetizer for future use.

Well, and finally, sometimes you want to pamper your household with an unusual and original dish. If you are going to do this, then making paella is the best option.

Recipe

This recipe is the traditional way to make paella. The dish will be aromatic, juicy and appetizing.

Ingredients:

Step 1

Cooking this dish in a slow cooker is as follows: first of all, you need to place undefrosted shrimp and mussels in a sieve.

Add tomatoes to the side and pour boiling water over the food. Then it is recommended to rinse the mussels thoroughly with running cold water so that all the sand is washed out of them. It is necessary to remove the skin from scalded tomatoes.

Step 2

On the multicooker, set the “Fry” mode, pour oil into the bowl and fry the onion, previously cut into thin slices. The onions should be sautéed for 5 minutes with the multicooker lid open, as it is recommended to stir them constantly.

Step 3

We cut the tomatoes into small slices and place them directly with seafood, which can also be chopped a little, in a slow cooker. Fry all the ingredients in the same mode for 8-10 minutes. After this, rinse the rice, put it in a bowl and fry the food for 5 minutes.

Step 4

Now you can pour the broth into the fry and add seasonings and salt. Switch the multicooker to the “Rice” or “Pilaf” program. This recipe takes 40 minutes to prepare.

After the time has passed, open the multicooker, add corn and peas to the paella without water (of course, they can be added earlier, but in this case the products may boil and ruin the entire appearance of the dish). We put the multicooker on the same mode for another 10 minutes.

That's all - paella with seafood and vegetables is ready. All that remains is to place the aromatic dish on plates and you can serve it on the table.

What do you usually eat this dish with?

Most often this dish is eaten with various sauces. But paella also goes well with ketchup and mayonnaise. When serving a dish, it is better to serve rye bread, as it will perfectly highlight the dish and also make it richer and more satisfying.

Fresh vegetables (tomatoes, bell peppers, cucumbers) will also help you complete the dish. And fresh herbs, such as parsley, celery and dill, will help highlight all the flavors of the paella.

It is better to eat this Spanish appetizer hot, while it still has a wonderful aroma and taste, and the rice does not stick together.
